Job Summary

Support Australia’s SRGBAD (Short Range Ground Based Air Defence) Support Program by contributing to the systems engineering lifecycle. Work with a multidisciplinary team on technical investigations, integration, verification and validation, and the creation and maintenance of systems engineering artefacts (requirements, design documentation, verification evidence). Assist with design proposals, technical presentations, risk assessments, systems engineering reviews, and system safety activities at the Centre for Joint Integration in Mawson Lakes.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to investigate technical problems and support capability upgrades and enhancements.
•Assist with preparation of design proposals, technical presentations, reports, and stakeholder briefings.
•Assist in planning and execution of integration, verification and validation activities.
•Support development and maintenance of systems engineering artefacts including requirements, design documentation, and verification evidence.
•Contribute to technical risk assessments, systems engineering reviews, engineering assurance, and system safety hazard analysis.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or related).
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Desirable: experience in Defence, aerospace, communications, software, electronics, systems integration, or other complex technical environments.
•Desirable: familiarity with systems engineering principles and model based systems engineering (MBSE).
•Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
