Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in IPT/CIPT/SIPT planning for Airworthiness, recommend Certification Bases, and align stakeholders across Airworthiness, V&V, Safety, and Requirements Management.
  • •Ensure advance compliance plans, communicate risk and mitigations, and advocate for Airworthiness compliance amid competing program priorities.
  • •Serve as the primary airworthiness advisor to CIPTs/IPTs to help customers achieve Military Flight Release (MFR) or Military Type Certificate (MTC) for new programs and engineering changes.
  • •Author drafts of Airworthiness Plans and Certification Bases in conjunction with CIPTs, per customer direction.
  • •Represent the Airworthiness function in IPT/CIPT/SIPT meetings and assist with administration of Airworthiness processes and standard work tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM degree.
  • •8+ years of experience in military Airworthiness and/or civil certification and/or engineering & requirements management (or advanced degree with 5+ years).
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • •Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
  • •Experience interfacing with U.S. Government customers regarding challenging deliverables and risk negotiation.
