Job Summary

Develop embedded flight software for small drones, owning sections of the vehicle management system end-to-end. Design vehicle control systems, integrate sensor interfaces via device drivers, protocols, and APIs, and connect guidance/control algorithms into the flight stack. Build SITL/HITL test fixtures and automation, analyze flight results, and iterate quickly. Partner with GNC, hardware, manufacturing, and operations while leading technical design reviews and mentoring junior engineers.

•Create SITL and HITL test fixtures and automation, analyze flight test results, and iterate quickly on fixes and improvements.
•Lead technical design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and support manufacturing, operational deployments, and field troubleshooting.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7+ years of C++ or Rust programming experience.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
•Direct experience with embedded software or other safety-critical systems.
•Background in low-level embedded software architecture, design, and development.
•Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
