Job Summary

Lead complex embedded hardware and system design, owning the hardware development lifecycle from concept and architecture through prototype manufacturing and delivery within time and budget. Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team, plan schedules/costs, manage risks and dependencies, and conduct trade-off analyses. Partner with software, product management, mechanical, firmware, and QA to define requirements and ensure seamless integration across components. Drive engineering best practices, verification/validation, and project KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of hardware engineers, fostering collaboration.
•Own hardware and system design from concept/architecture through prototype manufacturing and delivery on time and within budget.
•Plan project proposals including scheduling/costing, work breakdown, and identification of risks, opportunities, and dependencies.
•Design and develop hardware from specifications, including component selection and documentation, and perform trade-off analysis and feasibility studies.
•Collaborate cross-functionally across software, product management, mechanical, firmware, and QA to define requirements and ensure seamless integration; drive KPI progress reporting and professional development reviews.

Key Requirements

•15+ years in high-speed hardware board design integration, test, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
•Troubleshoot electronics and embedded hardware systems to identify root causes and implement suitable fixes.
•Experience in embedded system development and complex hardware architecture, including impedance control and high-speed board development.
•Hands-on schematics entry using Cadence Allegro or OrCAD, plus component selection and trade-off analysis.
•Experience with microprocessor/FPGA-based system design and IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification), including requirements management.
