Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment at Dow’s Fort Saskatchewan facility, executing planned maintenance from the weekly schedule. Diagnose issues to minimize downtime, perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, pumps, and compressors, and support root-cause investigations. Serve as a first contact for technical questions, collaborate with planners and engineering, document work history in SAP, and support commissioning, startup, and procedure writing—all with a strong safety and reliability focus.

Key Responsibilities

•Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable operations.
•Complete preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to sustain equipment health and reduce unplanned failures.
•Communicate work execution status and challenges to workgroups and stakeholders.
•Support root cause investigations using failure documentation to drive long-term reliability improvements.
•Use SAP to document work history and support commissioning/startup, procedure writing/review, and review drawings/schematics.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent plus a Millwright Journeyperson Certificate, Red Seal designation, or a two-year technical diploma in a mechanical discipline.
•Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
•Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and use PPE/safety equipment including harnesses.
•Prior experience with poly plant operations and maintenance (preferred).
•Ability to work legally in Canada; no visa sponsorship/support including permanent residency support.
