Job Summary

Senior Project Controls Engineer responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling project costs, schedules, risks and performance for major conventional energy field development. Leads creation and maintenance of robust schedules, cost reports and WBS/CBS, integrating cost and schedule data to drive client decisions. Based in Aberdeen with presence in client office 3 days/week. Proficient in Primavera P6 (or MSP) and related planning tools.

Job Function: Energy & Utilities Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Create, develop and maintain project schedules that align with project/client requirements
•Prepare, develop and maintain project cost budgets and forecasts
•Monitor, record and control all cost commitments, accruals, expenditure and approved changes
•Establish, maintain and administer Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
•Assist with development of project status reports to inform management on progress and costs

Key Requirements

•Proficient in Primavera P6 (or MSP) and other planning/resourcing software; able to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams
•Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence and coach teams
•Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., APM or PMI) is desirable but not mandatory
•Ability to make risk-based decisions where parameters are unclear; sound judgement
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage conflicts effectively
