Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical strategy and architecture for the Data Platform across ingestion, transformation, warehousing, streaming, and serving systems, including infrastructure-layer cost reduction.
  • •Architect data infrastructure that supports AI/ML workloads, enabling ML training, feature stores, real-time inference, and multi-agent AI architectures at scale.
  • •Drive evolution toward near-real-time data availability for fraud detection, financial reporting, and analytics.
  • •Build alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners on technical priorities and tradeoffs across product, infrastructure, analytics, ML, privacy, security, and compliance.
  • •Act as the primary technical voice for Data Platform in org-wide forums (OKR planning, architecture reviews) while elevating senior engineering talent.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years building and operating large-scale distributed data infrastructure, including streaming platforms, data lakes, and batch/real-time processing with query/serving layers.
  • •Own end-to-end technical strategy and architecture for a data domain across multiple teams, including transitioning from managed services to platform-grade infrastructure.
  • •Strong systems thinking across performance, reliability, cost, security, and privacy throughout the full data lifecycle.
  • •Design data systems supporting ML training pipelines, feature stores, real-time inference, and/or AI agent workloads at scale; familiarity with CDC, Kafka, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • •Platform mindset oriented to reducing friction for developer customers, with responsible generative AI usage and human oversight.
