Job Summary

Build and evolve Snowflake Release Engineering platform capabilities that enable safe, fast, and scalable deployments across large-scale multi-cloud production environments. Design continuous deployment and rollout infrastructure, progressive delivery (staged rollouts, canarying, health checks, rollback controls), and self-service tooling for developer productivity. Partner with product and infrastructure teams to improve deploy/operate workflows using GitOps-inspired methods, infrastructure as code, observability, and increasingly AI-assisted autonomous release automation.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and build continuous deployment and rollout infrastructure to safely ship changes across Snowflake’s multi-cloud production environment.
•Build platform capabilities for progressive delivery (staged rollouts, canarying, automated health checks, rollback controls, and guardrails).
•Improve engineering velocity by removing friction from release pipelines and replacing manual workflows with durable platform abstractions and automation.
•Develop internal platforms for release orchestration and Kubernetes application rollouts, enabling broader production change workflows.
•Implement and evolve deployment methodologies (GitOps-inspired workflows, infrastructure as code, policy-driven automation) and build AI-assisted agentic release workflows using rollout health signals.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 287,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience building or operating continuous deployment, release engineering, or production change platforms at scale.
•Experience with Kubernetes-based systems and safely rolling changes across distributed production environments.
•Strong software engineering skills in Golang, Java, C++, or similar systems languages, plus Python or Bash (or similar scripting).
•Experience with distributed systems, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.
•Experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana) to evaluate system and rollout health.
