Job Summary

Lead Monzo’s Credit Platform by defining its roadmap and evolving the infrastructure behind credit valuation, including NPV modelling. Manage and develop a team of Credit Analysts, and partner with Credit, Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, and Risk to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of credit decisioning. Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for senior leaders as you scale lending capabilities across UK products and new markets.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the Credit Platform roadmap, enabling Product Credit teams to develop, evaluate, and deploy lending strategies across UK and new global markets.
•Lead the evolution of credit valuation infrastructure, including NPV modelling, to ensure scalability, reliability, and improved lending economics.
•Hire, coach, and develop a team of Credit Analysts, fostering technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
•Partner across Credit, Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, and Risk to accelerate experimentation and improve credit decisioning speed and quality.
•Represent the Credit Platform across Monzo and translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 125,400 - 169,600 annually

•Deep knowledge of lending economics, including NPV modelling and the frameworks that enable credit decisioning.
•Experience designing frameworks from scratch in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and meaningful change.
•Cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Engineering, Product, Risk, Machine Learning, and Credit teams.
•Strong analytical and data capabilities with technical coding skills; SQL is required (Python and Looker are a plus).
