Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide engineering technical assistance (calculations, design, drafting, research) to Ride/Show teams for scenic scopes of work.
  • •Review portions of vendor design documentation (drawing/component/calc/test plan and test results reviews) as assigned by engineering management.
  • •Edit and update Ride/Show engineering specifications assigned by Ride/Show engineering management for scenic system delivery.
  • •Assist Ride/Show teams in managing vendors through bidding, designing, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, start up, and commissioning of show action equipment.
  • •Review, edit, or develop test protocols, procedures, and plans; execute witness/approval testing and test results as assigned by Engineering & Safety management.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field (e.g., Technical Theatre, Architecture, Set/Scenic Design, Building Construction) or equivalent experience.
  • •Experience in theme park technical/engineering roles supporting scenic elements (e.g., rockwork, scenic facades, artificial foliage, themed concrete plaster) or a related technical field.
  • •Project experience within the entertainment/theme park industry; theme park development, construction, show and ride systems design or fabrication is preferred.
  • •Ability to interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical/diagram form and work with abstract and concrete variables.
  • •Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
