Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the delivery of EHV/HV substation primary design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
  • •Provide technical direction, guidance, and mentorship to engineers across the Power & Energy business.
  • •Undertake and review technical studies, design calculations, and engineering assessments.
  • •Develop substation layouts, equipment arrangements, specifications, and design documentation.
  • •Support project teams during design reviews, construction, commissioning, and project delivery phases, while collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •Significant experience delivering HV/EHV substation projects in the power, utilities, or energy sector.
  • •Demonstrated experience on transmission infrastructure projects in the 330kV to 500kV range.
  • •Hands-on experience undertaking technical studies and engineering calculations (not just reviewing third-party designs).
  • •Strong knowledge of conductor and busbar sizing, short-circuit force calculations, lightning protection design, lighting design studies, substation equipment layouts, high-voltage equipment specifications, and HV cable sizing/calculations.
