Technical Writer needed to create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, manuals, and procedures. Lead POA&Ms for project management and compliance, collaborate with engineers and PMs to gather information, ensure policy/regulatory alignment, and maintain revision history and documentation repositories to support a high-security enterprise IT mission.

Key Responsibilities

•Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, manuals, and operational procedures to ensure consistency in standards and clarity of processes.
•Develop and maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management, workflows, and compliance efforts.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to gather and organize technical information.
•Ensure all documentation complies with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
•Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems or requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,000 - 115,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or related field
•Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a technology-driven environment
•Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to translate technical information into clear documentation and develop/maintain POA&Ms or similar project plans
