Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain custom Ubuntu/Linux distributions for real-time autonomous vehicle workloads.
  • •Optimize ROS 2 DDS middleware for low-latency, high-throughput multi-sensor data flows.
  • •Develop and maintain kernel modules and user-space drivers for vehicle interfaces and sensors.
  • •Implement observability/logging to monitor system health and resource utilization in lab and field deployments.
  • •Harden the platform for production (security patches, secure boot, OTA update pipelines) and own CI/CD for OS images and driver packages.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years developing or maintaining Linux-based embedded or robotics platforms.
  • •Deep knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux (package management, systemd, networking, kernel configuration).
  • •Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, including debugging kernel modules and user-space drivers.
  • •Hands-on experience with ROS 1 or ROS 2 in a production or research setting.
  • •Familiarity with communication buses/protocols (USB, Ethernet, CAN, PCIe, SPI, I2C) and real-time performance tuning/profiling tools.
