Job Summary

Supervise employees on an assigned production shift, setting goals and monitoring output using scorecards and day shift production reports. Inspect and test machinery and equipment, operate production equipment and a forklift, and coordinate with maintenance to diagnose and repair issues. Oversee daily preventive maintenance, track inventory and parts usage, and ensure all safety rules and quality standards are met through training, supervision, and discipline.

Key Responsibilities

•Set production goals and expectations for the shift.
•Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment; set up and operate machinery and operate a forklift as directed.
•Listen for unusual equipment sounds to detect malfunction, and coordinate with maintenance workers to diagnose and repair machine issues.
•Oversee daily preventive maintenance, and track and report inventory and parts usage.
•Train, promote, and discipline employees; ensure safety rules are followed and supervise the department to meet quality and production standards.

Key Requirements

•Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Concrete manufacturing experience preferred.
•Experience providing on-the-job training for team members (including forklift, bobcat, loader) and developing production machine troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
•Ability to work in all environmental conditions and extreme temperatures.
