Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end processing of biweekly multi-state U.S. payroll (up to 20 states), including tax withholding, SUTA rates, and local compliance.
  • •Manage international payroll via EOR partners in 5–10 countries, including onboarding coordination, invoice reconciliation, and serving as the EOR relationship point of contact.
  • •Coordinate time-sensitive employment changes (new hires, extensions, offboarding reversals) and partner with People Operations and hiring managers on timelines.
  • •Own payroll systems/integration optimization between HRIS and adjacent systems to reduce manual entry, improve accuracy, and explore AI-augmented workflows.
  • •Perform payroll compliance and reporting activities including SALT reconciliations, W-2 reporting, benefits reconciliations, 401(k) administration, and workers’ compensation filings.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of progressive payroll experience with multi-state payroll ownership (10+ states preferred), including local tax registrations.
  • •Hands-on experience with modern payroll/HRIS platforms and monitoring system integrations.
  • •Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP) and ability to manipulate large datasets for reconciliation and reporting.
  • •Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage/hour rules, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • •A solution-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and discretion handling confidential information.
