Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide PM leadership for high-voltage and EHV substation and transmission projects, including detailed design oversight, budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, and risk contingencies.
  • •Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement strategies, relationships, and regular reporting on project progress, safety incidents, and major issues.
  • •Support pursuit/initiation activities, including contract reviews, pricing reviews, and “Go / No-Go” decisions with risk mitigation strategies.
  • •Drive appropriate technical reviews and ensure QA/QC plan adherence, selecting qualified staff to perform required reviews.
  • •Lead project kick-off and closeout activities, manage documentation updates (risk, project management plan, project quality plan, project safety plan, communications plan), and facilitate lessons-learned reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field within the Power & Energy market.
  • •12 years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
  • •Minimum 5 years of applicable experience providing engineering services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, and Munis.
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering and/or construction teams on medium to large electrical utility-scale high voltage and EHV Substation and Transmission projects.
  • •Proficiency with project management processes and tools including contract management, Earned Value Management, change management, risk management, and CPM scheduling (e.g., Primavera P6).
