Job Summary

Handle a caseload of Household and Commercial Property recovery matters for Keoghs’ insurer clients. Conduct initial reviews, manage disclosure and evidence, and carry out investigations to support complex, high-value litigation. Draft legal documents and applications, prepare for trials, and assist with ADR including mediation. Liaise with lay and insurer clients, negotiate settlements (including Part 36 offers), advocate by phone and in person, and ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations.

•Perform initial review/report and deal with disclosure, evidence, and investigations across recovery files.
•Instruct counsel and experts, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents generally.
•Attend conferences and trials with counsel and prepare documents for trial.
•Liaise with lay and insurer clients, including handling routine correspondence and supporting client training/seminars.
•Engage in settlement negotiations (including Part 36 offers), assist with ADR/mediation, manage court appointments, and conduct advocacy by telephone and in person while ensuring SRA compliance.
