Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the roadmap for how engineers and coding agents navigate the codebase, internal tools, tests, review, and shipping.
  • •Build the cloud coding experience layer around existing compute foundations, including task intake, environment setup, context, tools, permissions, observability, review, and delivery.
  • •Improve agent output at the source by evolving repository structure, interfaces, documentation, instructions, and feedback loops.
  • •Engineer agent context deliberately and improve agent interactions through evidence-based model/tool/workflow choices.
  • •Fix developer friction across CI speed/reliability, local setup, testing, debugging, and deploy workflows; measure impact using developer research plus DORA/SPACE and agent evaluations; drive adoption across teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools to decompose tasks, manage context, inspect failures, and consistently produce maintainable software—not just faster output.
  • •Build developer tooling or a platform with real users who relied on it, and improve based on observed support burden and behavior.
  • •Improve CI, testing, repository workflows, or developer productivity in a substantial, long-lived codebase.
  • •Demonstrate product judgment for internal systems by identifying root causes, turning evidence into a roadmap, and prioritizing system improvements.
  • •Show strong software engineering ability by building and operating substantial production software and implementing durable solutions yourself.
