Lead accounting and controls for a fast-growing global fintech, owning the close, policy framework, and multi-entity financial architecture. Partner with FP&A and CFO to scale a high-performing team, implement AI-enabled processes, and prepare the function for potential liquidity events across jurisdictions. Drive tax, treasury, transfer pricing, and audit readiness in a public-company context.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including GL management, journal entries, reconciliations, and the development and enforcement of technical GAAP accounting policies (e.g., equity compensation, capitalized development costs, lease obligations).
•Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing with metrics for cash cycle performance and liquidity.
•Manage payroll operations across jurisdictions, treasury, cash visibility, forecasting, and banking relationships.
•Oversee global tax compliance across jurisdictions and collaborate with external advisors to scale tax capability.
•Design and maintain a multi-entity intercompany framework and transfer pricing processes to support a global business.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 170,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•CPA designation with 15+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience in high-growth technology businesses; US GAAP proficiency with IFRS knowledge
•Deep experience with multi-entity, multi-national accounting structures including intercompany, consolidation, and transfer pricing
•Proven ability to build and scale a controls environment with public-company readiness
•Hands-on experience with M&A accounting including diligence, purchase price allocation, and post-acquisition integration
•Genuine use of AI and automation tools in accounting workflows; strong data and systems literacy for archival profitability reporting across a multi-dimensional business
