Key Responsibilities

•Lead and mentor a section of 15 to 20 engineers, serving as a key leader and mentor in the department.
•Sustainment, assessment and development of the section.
•Ensure section members adhere to policy, vision, values and goals.
•Communicate flow-down to section members and provide performance feedback.
•Support section salary and labor planning and career/job assignment mentoring.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
•Experience in software development, integration or test using C, C++, Java, or Ada.
•Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework.
•The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
•Experience as a technical leader or team lead on software development, integration or test activities on a defense software development program.
