Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to and convey a Life Enrichment philosophy supporting residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality.
  • •Lead and/or oversee individual and group programs daily, encouraging and tracking resident participation.
  • •Design creative, engaging programs aligned with residents’ needs and interests.
  • •Plan a monthly calendar and develop/distribute monthly enrichment schedules to residents.
  • •Order needed supplies and oversee the life enrichment budget to stay within guidelines, ensuring programs meet state and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • •Minimum of one year working with senior population is preferred.
  • •Rec Therapist, COTA, or education/experience in teaching or nursing is preferred.
  • •Certification by NCCAP (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals) is preferred.
  • •Excellent English communication, organizational and time management skills; flexible schedule with some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
