Key Responsibilities

  • •Prioritize safety, health, and environment; lead by example, encourage open reporting, and establish/maintain safety and health systems in the work area.
  • •Oversee mechanical services execution for equipment, machines, processes, and tools to ensure availability, quality, and compliance with execution requirements.
  • •Plan, implement, and manage maintenance schedules to meet production targets while minimizing interruption; identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • •Execute daily data validation and reconciliation, close out work orders accurately, and participate in RCAs/continuous improvement for defects and non-compliance.
  • •Manage section expenditure within approved budget, control overtime, participate in forecasting inputs, and monitor contractor performance against KPIs.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12/N3 Technical with a Relevant Engineering Higher National qualification on NQF5.
  • •At least five years of practical experience in engineering maintenance operations.
  • •Knowledge of engineering maintenance processes specific to the mining industry and the scope of the role.
  • •Knowledge of risk management methods and applying critical controls to mitigate operational risks.
  • •Knowledge of budget management and documentation workflows, including sign-off and approval procedures.
