Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide ledger and accounting SME leadership across general ledger and sub-ledger integration, accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design.
  • •Translate finance requirements into functional specifications with traceability from requirement to design, test, and sign-off; partner with Technology to shape solution options and assess trade-offs against non-functional requirements.
  • •Define and strengthen ledger controls (completeness, accuracy, timeliness, segregation of duties, audit trails) and improve reconciliations and close efficiency.
  • •Support robust period-end close processes and operational readiness for change releases.
  • •Support audit and governance by ensuring alignment with accounting standards/regulatory expectations and providing evidence, walkthroughs, and remediation plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Provide deep functional and process expertise across ledger, accounting, and financial close capabilities.
  • •Partner with Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Change teams to ensure ledger solutions are controlled, compliant, scalable, and fit for purpose for regulatory and management reporting.
  • •Act as the senior SME for general ledger and sub-ledger integration, including accounting rules, posting logic, and reconciliation design.
  • •Own and maintain ledger process maps, accounting treatment documentation, and end-to-end data lineage from source to GL.
  • •Provide authoritative guidance on accounting impacts of product/process changes and regulatory/accounting standards expectations (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
