Job Summary

Lead growth for the FAA & DoT business area by building relationships with federal aviation and transportation executives and aligning GDIT’s technical solutions to mission needs. Own business development through the capture lifecycle—from opportunity identification and qualification to win strategy, award, and delivery—while also directing operational special projects and programs. Collaborate with executive, delivery, and technical teams to drive on-contract growth and partnership-based pipeline expansion.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive growth of the FAA and DoT business area in support of FAA and DoT customers.
•Lead business development support across the full capture lifecycle from opportunity identification through win strategy, award, and delivery.
•Develop and implement integrated business development and capture strategies for pipeline opportunities.
•Direct operational special project and program activities and serve as a liaison with clients to coordinate, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
•Develop opportunity-specific call plans and lead proposal and marketing material development, including white papers and business plans.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Aeronautics, Computer Science, or comparable discipline; MBA/MPA desired.
•10+ years of related experience with positive trusted relationships with FAA and DoT mission owners and decision makers.
•Demonstrated success winning large deals and strong operational performance for FAA and DoT programs.
•Experience engaging senior aviation/transportation stakeholders and maintaining a network of proven relationships at FAA and DoT.
•Active secret clearance and US citizenship required; excellent written and oral communication skills; travel as required.
