Job Summary

Design and architect front-end datacenter and interconnect fabric for Cerebras AI/ML and HPC clusters, optimizing low latency and high throughput. Build proof-of-concept network designs and drive them to production, diagnose host-NIC-fabric performance bottlenecks, and automate network deployment and validation with Python. Operate SRE-grade telemetry and observability, define SLIs/SLOs, lead distributed-systems network debugging, and partner across hardware, firmware, and cluster software to ensure network reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and architect front-end network fabrics for AI/ML and HPC clusters, optimizing for high utilization, low latency, and high-throughput communication.
•Build proof-of-concept implementations for new network designs and features, and drive them from prototype through production rollout.
•Identify and resolve performance and efficiency bottlenecks across the host-NIC-fabric.
•Automate network infrastructure deployment, configuration, and validation using Python, including topology provisioning, fabric bring-up, and config generation.
•Stand up SRE-grade telemetry and observability for the cluster network, define SLIs/SLOs, lead incident workflows, and perform network debugging across distributed systems.

Key Requirements

•Ph.D. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience, or a Master’s in CS/EE with 10+ years of industry experience.
•Solid experience designing large-scale datacenter and cloud networks.
•Extensive hands-on experience debugging networking issues in large distributed systems across multiple platforms and protocols.
•Demonstrated track record leading multi-phase, multi-team technical projects to completion.
•Deep expertise across networking platforms and fabric technologies.
