Key Responsibilities

  • •Own meaningful product areas end-to-end, from problem framing and prototype through production rollout and iteration.

  • •Improve Pelago’s engineering system via AI-native development practices, testing, documentation, and review quality.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong production experience building product software in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • •Excellent TypeScript/Node capability and comfort working across APIs, services, data, and cloud infrastructure.
  • •Strong product sense—start from user or business problems, not just implementation.
  • •Fluent with AI-augmented engineering workflows while maintaining human judgment and QA discipline.
  • •Testing, observability, and reliability instincts with ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity.
