Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the creation and maintenance of technical manuals and SOPs for drill rigs, loaders, and trucks, ensuring technical accuracy and engineering compliance.
  • •Collaborate with R&D, project offices, and field service to acquire and validate content for publication.
  • •Manage and optimize content management systems and tools to enable modular content creation and single-sourcing reuse.
  • •Drive continuous improvement to innovate documentation methods, reduce translation costs, simplify complexity, and enhance documentation quality and customer experience.
  • •Recruit, develop, and retain a technical writing team, including coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, and standards/workflows to improve efficiency and deliverable quality.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • •Minimum 12 years of industrial experience in mining, earthmoving, drilling equipment, or off-road vehicle sectors.
  • •Extensive experience with structured authoring, modular content development, and enterprise Content Management Systems for single-source publishing.
  • •Expertise in technical documentation methodologies (topic-based authoring, minimalism, DITA standards, XML authoring tools such as XMetaL or Oxygen).
  • •Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), Teamcenter, and Schema ST4 for document management and production.
