Key Responsibilities

•Lead Data Platform-as-a-Service solution design and reviews, making trade-offs across resilience, performance, cost, and time-to-market.
•Drive engineering excellence with CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and release governance.
•Guide engineers/teams through complexity and raise engineering standards through day-to-day actions.
•Define reference architectures and reusable patterns for ingestion, transformation, and serving on cloud-native technology stacks using open-source stacks.
•Stay current on applied AI/ML (including Generative AI) and identify practical opportunities to embed AI into data and engineering workflows while maintaining engineering quality.

•15+ years of experience in relevant technologies.
•Deep subject matter expertise to lead diverse teams with strong people leadership, decision-making, communication, and teamwork.
•Proven record delivering data technology at scale, including articulation of data/AI trends and regulatory expectations (e.g., data privacy and localization).
•Lead and direct executive and non-executive workgroups and effect change through people.
•Strong data engineering and cloud-native expertise using Python, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Hadoop, NiFi/Kafka, RDBMS, plus Git, Jenkins, Airflow, and CI/CD.
