Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out and supervise the completion of FCAs and FRAs for a variety of schemes
  • •Provide technical input into sustainable drainage strategies and design for complex schemes
  • •Oversee the preparation of feasibility studies and supporting drawings
  • •Prepare SAB submissions with Welsh Local Authorities
  • •Deliver Section 19 Flood Investigations and provide technical oversight/training of junior consultants, ensuring high-quality outputs

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential
  • •Actively working towards chartered status with IEng, C.WEM or CEng
  • •Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies (England and Wales)
  • •Drainage design using AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling (e.g., Causeway Flow/Microdrainage, InfoWorks)
  • •Familiarity with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo) and knowledge of regulatory context for flood risk planning and sustainable drainage approvals in the UK
