Job Summary

Lead instrumentation and electrical technician work in the field and at the Lobo Plant, installing, troubleshooting, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of analytical, measurement, and control/automation systems. Own preventive maintenance and testing for compressors/engines and auxiliary equipment, maintain high-voltage power circuits, and support DOT-related operations, maintenance, and emergency response. Maintain accurate records, schematics, and safety/environmental documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate/adjust, and maintain instrumentation and analytical/electrical systems and related equipment.
•Perform preventative maintenance and/or analytical testing on compressors/engines, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
•Maintain electrical power circuits, switchgear, and power distribution, including high voltage.
•Perform and/or observe measurement equipment witness tests and maintain security/intrusion systems.
•Maintain and approve maintenance and safety/environmental records, electrical/mechanical drawings, pressure readings, material/supply orders, loop sheets, and work procedures; respond to dangerous/hazardous conditions as needed for DOT-covered pipeline work.

Key Requirements

•Experience using tools and equipment applicable to the position, including manual/power tools, electronic testing devices, and control devices.
•Training/experience in gas processing fundamentals and computers/software, plus applicable governmental rules, regulations, and (electric) codes.
•Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts/diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals.
•Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance/repair records, safety and environmental reports, electrical schematics/diagrams, pressure readings, and material/supply orders.
•Knowledge of instrumentation, electronics, tools, and control systems, and ability to communicate information/instruction.
