Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems (including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and air conditioning).
•Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine accurate findings.
•Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
•Document work and findings on repair orders using a company iOS device and the proprietary TRAIT application, complete DOT and other forms, and communicate with management/support to obtain approvals and PO numbers.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combinations such as 3 years with additional degree/certification, or 7 years experience).
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
•Obtain ASE 608/609 certification within eighteen (18) months.
•Successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; maintain a current valid DOT medical card (or complete a DOT physical if remaining validity is four months or less).
