Job Summary

Own financial planning, forecasting, and stewardship for Canva’s multi-billion-dollar technical cost base across cloud, infrastructure, compute, GPUs, data, and AI. Lead capacity planning and driver-based models that connect compute demand to product usage and unit economics. Build cost allocation and chargeback for a defensible P&L, deliver executive reporting and insights, and optimize AI training/inference costs while partnering with Engineering and technical leaders to drive performance and margin.

Key Responsibilities

•Own financial planning, forecasting, and stewardship of Canva’s technical cost base spanning cloud, infrastructure, compute, GPUs, data, and AI.
•Lead capacity planning for infrastructure and GPUs using driver-based models that tie compute demand to product usage, growth, and unit economics.
•Drive AI cost optimization by partnering with technical leaders to reduce training and inference cost, improve utilization, and de-risk major infrastructure exposures.
•Own cost allocation and chargeback methodology for technical spend to ensure a single, defensible source of truth that reconciles into company plan and gross margin.
•Lead and develop the Tech & Product FP&A team, designing planning and reporting cadences and improving financial close and reforecast efficiency.

•A strategic mindset connecting infrastructure and AI investment decisions to long-term company growth, unit economics, and gross margin.
•Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with senior technical and business leaders.
•Exceptional leadership and coaching ability, motivating teams to deliver in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
