Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify proper operation, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain equipment and the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, documenting work with pictures using a company-issued iOS device and the proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience (or an equivalent combination such as degree/certification beyond HS or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Be able to successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license (with the ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File).
