Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and HVAC/air conditioning systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using tools and test instruments, including road testing to confirm issues and proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work according to company standards by uploading repair photos and completing DOT forms and repair orders using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/education or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Must be able to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Have and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •21+ years old with a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and a valid Driver Qualification File.
