Job Summary

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco Unified Communications platforms, including CUCM, UCCX, Cisco Contract Center, Webex, and voice recording. Own voice gateway, SBC, and IP telephony endpoint support, troubleshoot VoIP protocols (SIP/H.323/MGCP/SCCP), and manage upgrades, patches, backups, capacity planning, and high availability. Integrate UC with Active Directory, DNS, and certificates, collaborate with network/security teams for QoS and redundancy, and deliver documentation plus L2/L3 incident escalation and training.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Polycom and Cisco Unified Communications systems, including CUCM, Cisco Contract Center, Webex, and voice recording.
•Manage and support Cisco voice gateways, session border controllers (SBCs), and IP telephony endpoints (phones, video devices).
•Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP), while monitoring performance and performing capacity planning.
•Perform UC software upgrades, patches, and backups; maintain high availability and provide L2/L3 support for UC incidents, escalations, and change management.
•Integrate UC with Active Directory, DNS, and certificates; coordinate with network/security/operations teams for QoS, redundancy, and security, and maintain documentation plus training for users and junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience.
•Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Polycom and Cisco UC technologies (CUCM, UCCX, Webex, voice recording, etc.).
•Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols including SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SCCP.
•Experience with Cisco voice gateways, SBCs, and integrated dial-plan design.
•Solid networking understanding (routing, switching) with voice-focused concepts like QoS, VLAN, and NAT.
