Job Summary

Lead teams in the Developer Productivity organization to improve how software is built through measurable advances to the software development lifecycle. Own metrics, observability infrastructure, and decision-making signals across MongoDB’s developer ecosystem via the AXIS team. Drive a 12-month roadmap, evaluate and build AI-enabled interfaces/tools for engineer productivity, and deliver success through adoption, reliability, and developer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering innovation, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•Improve engineering visibility and decision-making by delivering systems, analytics, and reporting for the health, performance, and efficiency of the software development lifecycle.
•Evaluate, integrate, and build AI-enabled interfaces and tools to drive measurable engineer productivity improvements with responsible rollout.
•Drive a 12-month roadmap by partnering with Staff and Senior Staff ICs, TPMs, and stakeholders to balance near-term delivery with long-term platform investment.
•Use success measures to assess risks early and deliver measurable improvements across adoption, reliability, developer satisfaction, and engineering effectiveness/developer experience.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 191,000 - 265,000 annually

Key Requirements

•4+ years managing software engineers, including hiring, performance management, growth planning, and compensation.
•8+ years hands-on software engineering experience building and operating production systems; experience with developer tooling, platform engineering, observability, or data engineering is a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, work across team boundaries, and deliver outcomes without close supervision.
•Strong customer orientation and sound judgment to find practical, high-leverage solutions.
•Experience with systems involving analytics, data pipelines, and metrics platforms, plus AI tools development and enablement experience.
