Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support settlement negotiations in complex product liability, mass tort, toxic tort, and consumer product litigation matters.
  • •Develop settlement structures and eligibility criteria, and serve as primary legal and operations lead to execute settlements efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • •Negotiate, draft, review, and finalize settlement-related documents with plaintiffs’ counsel, resolving claimant disputes or appeals.
  • •Manage teams of nurse paralegals and other attorneys to review and assess qualification and categorization of incoming claims.
  • •Perform data analysis across claims to monitor values and identify trends, and oversee settlement implementation and claims administration including workflow and quality assurance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,000 - 350,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • •Active and in good standing with the local state Bar, or eligible to waive in.
  • •Minimum 8 years of significant and substantive legal experience focused on mass torts (drug, medical device, and/or consumer products), including at least 3 years of law firm litigation practice.
  • •Experience resolving claims from settlements, preferably involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or consumer health/consumer-facing products.
  • •Familiarity with matter management systems (e.g., Case Manager Pro) and claims administration/AI-enabled claim review platforms; ability to draft, review, and/or negotiate settlement documents.
