Job Summary

Design and validate board-level DC-DC power conversion and input protection for AMD’s next-generation products. Lead power integrity work, collaborate with CAD, manufacturing, and signal integrity teams, and drive test plans, schematic reviews, and vendor engagements to meet performance, cost, and reliability goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and validate board power to meet the requirements of new products.
•Develop and execute test plans for upcoming power designs and document procedures, plans, and specifications.
•Assist in the resolution of power related issues in prototype, manufacturing, and field.
•Collaborate with power supply vendors to develop power supplies that meet our requirements.
•Perform design reviews of schematics, BOMs, layout and routing.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Electrical Engineering preferred; relevant degree or equivalent experience may be considered
•Proven experience in complex analog design DC-DC power conversion
•Schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit simulation tools experience
•Hands-on experience with system level power delivery network design, analysis and validation
•Familiarity with power distribution and strategies in PCBs and systems
