Key Responsibilities

  • •Define equipment/module/board specifications and follow development, validation, and manufacturing plans.
  • •Design power solutions for space equipment including DC-DC converters (forward, flyback, resonant), synchronous rectifier PWM, H-bridge, GaN FET-based DC-DC, and series/switching regulators.
  • •Develop and execute analysis and synthesis for control loop circuits in feedback systems.
  • •Perform simulations and verification activities, including P-Spice simulation, worst-case analysis, and part stress analysis; support FMEA specialist analysis.
  • •Interface with customers and suppliers and collaborate across Thales Alenia Space departments on power distribution architecture and cross-strapping solutions at the power unit level.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • •Consolidated experience in hardware design of power solutions, including space equipment integration and test.
  • •Experience with DC-DC digital control loops and control-loop feedback system design.
  • •Knowledge of ECSS specifications and space equipment standards and processes.
  • •Proficiency with schematic drawing (Mentor DXD) and circuit simulation tools such as P-Spice, LT-Spice, and Simplis; strong English communication and problem-solving skills.
