•Design and develop software solutions and communication protocols for patient monitoring products.
•Enable connectivity and interoperability with other Philips products and third-party medical devices.
•Develop software for patient monitoring solutions used across emergency/ICU, maternity/neonatal monitoring, and anesthesia.
•Work with distributed systems, network protocols, web services/APIs, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
•Collaborate in cross-functional project teams and maintain quality-focused, continuous improvement practices.

Key Requirements

•Relevant degree in Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Medical Informatics, or a related engineering field focused on software development.
•At least 2 years of software development experience with C/C++ (preferably modern C++ 17/20/23) and/or .NET/C# (ideally both).
•Experience developing embedded systems and/or backend applications for Microsoft Windows.
•Experience implementing distributed systems and strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP), web services/APIs (HTTP/HTTPS/REST/WebSockets), gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
•Strong written and spoken English skills (German is a plus), with team and communication abilities and structured, independent work.
