Job Summary

Own the reliability, scalability, and operability of enterprise data and AI platforms powering Levi Strauss’ global retail and supply chain. Define SLOs/SLIs and error budgets, reduce incident impact through observability and automation, and build self-serve infrastructure for platform teams. Serve as a GCP subject matter expert across GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer, Dataflow, and Vertex AI, while driving multi-cloud reliability and data security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Define, instrument, and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets across platform services aligned to business and product commitments.
•Reduce MTTD/MTTR through observability, automated alerting, and runbook-driven incident response.
•Lead blameless post-mortems and turn findings into durable reliability improvements to eliminate systemic issues.
•Build self-serve infrastructure capabilities and automate deployment pipelines and operational workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps principles (ArgoCD/Flux).
•Architect and optimize workloads across GCP and drive multi-cloud reliability decisions, including self-healing patterns, scaling, capacity planning, and data security/governance best practices.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
•9+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering in large-scale production environments.
•Deep, hands-on expertise in GCP, including GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer, Dataflow, and Vertex AI.
•Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).
•Strong observability and reliability experience, including defining and operating against SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets in production.
