Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, and transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain required regulatory logs (e.g., ELDs), and complete routine vehicle checks and reporting.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers for loading/unloading, follow loading crew signals, and assist with assembling customers’ loads from loading lists.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading), and ensure loads are accurate and delivered on time.
  • •Support yard operations by organizing trailers, assisting with staging and loading transfers, maintaining yard cleanliness and safety standards, and communicating delivery issues to the manager.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (or chauffeur license as required by state regulations for the vehicle weight).
  • •Pass and maintain background and drug testing required by DOT regulations, and pass and maintain a DOT physical for trucks driven over 10,000 lbs.
  • •Proven delivery driver experience with customer-facing interaction, and ability to deliver in all types of environments.
  • •Experience operating a forklift and straight truck, including ability to push and pull material from the bin.
  • •Working knowledge of and ability to comply with DOT regulations and maintain minimum regulated license standards required to transport goods.
