Job Summary

Operate and maintain gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers, and related utility services within your area of responsibility to ensure safe, smooth, continuous performance. Carry out shift instructions, routine parameter readings, standby readiness, emergency procedures, and hazard reporting. Support testing and re-commissioning after maintenance outages and complete on-the-job training to build competency for equipment such as turbines and steam systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment in the designated area of responsibility.
•Execute shift instructions promptly; record routine parameter readings and report deviations.
•Report abnormalities/problems to the supervisor or control room and ensure standby equipment is ready for emergency service.
•Assist with routine testing and re-commissioning after maintenance outages.
•Follow safe working practices, identify hazards, maintain housekeeping standards, and complete on-the-job training to increase competency.

Key Requirements

•Higher Secondary School Certificate (minimum qualification).
•4 years’ experience in a power station.
•2 years’ experience as a Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent in a similar industry.
•English skills to prepare and complete shift reports (Intermediate 3 or equivalent).
•Basic numeracy and ability to understand single line diagrams; problem-solving and planning/organising skills.
