Key Responsibilities

  • •Support clients in maintaining compliance by conducting field assessments, monitoring programs, and maintaining clear documentation.
  • •Conduct building assessments for hazardous materials and designated substances (including asbestos, lead, and mould) and collect representative samples from building materials.
  • •Provide on-site inspection and oversight during hazardous materials remediation projects, including contractor monitoring, air sampling, and site reporting.
  • •Participate in occupational exposure assessments for chemical, biological, and physical hazards across workplace settings.
  • •Prepare clear technical reports and data summaries based on field notes and sample results to support client decision-making.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 47,200 - 65,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a college diploma or university degree in occupational hygiene, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •Experience in consulting or relevant education in occupational hygiene, environmental science, construction, or a related field, with an interest in professional development.
  • •Understanding of Ontario occupational health and safety, construction, and environmental legislation and the ability to apply it in practical settings.
  • •Experience or familiarity with hazardous materials/designated substances (e.g., building surveys, asbestos abatement monitoring, mould or lead assessments) and ideally exposure to airborne fibre sample analysis.
  • •Comfort working with data and digital tools, including Microsoft Excel, and using tools/equipment for fieldwork activities.
