Histotechnician I

Perform histological preparations for a tissue whole exome/genome sequencing laboratory with high accuracy. Prepare tissues, stained slides, and support workflows such as macrodissection, reagent and equipment preparation (after training), and participations in validations and reagent qualifications. Monitor case management to meet departmental TAT goals, investigate sample processing issues, maintain safety initiatives (EH&S), update SOPs, and provide guidance to new lab team members.
