Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor coating and painting conformity to customer specifications via daily surveillance and ITP inspection points per the Project Quality Plan.
  • •Verify surface preparation and environmental conditions meet approved procedures and project specifications.
  • •Inspect coating materials for proper storage, shelf life, certification, mixing, and application requirements.
  • •Perform and document inspections including surface cleanliness, surface profile, environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, dew point), WFT/DFT, and (where applicable) holiday detection and adhesion testing.
  • •Identify non-conformities, raise inspection reports and NCRs, ensure corrective actions are implemented/verified, and maintain accurate quality documentation while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or a degree in a relevant engineering, materials, coatings, or technical discipline.
  • •5+ years of coating/painting quality control or inspection experience with a degree, or 8+ years with a diploma.
  • •Recognized coating inspection certification preferred (NACE/AMPP CIP Level 2; BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 Level 2; or FROSIO Coating Inspector Level 2).
  • •Knowledge of international standards/specifications (e.g., SSPC, NACE/AMPP, ISO 8501-1/2/3, ISO 12944, ASTM standards).
  • •Proficiency using coating inspection instruments/equipment and Microsoft Office/inspection reporting systems, with ability to read engineering drawings and inspection documentation.
