Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and comment on bridge designs, shop drawings, and construction documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications, AASHTO/BS/Eurocodes, and Saudi standards.
  • •Supervise bridge-related construction activities (flyovers, interchanges, underpasses, retaining walls, culverts), monitoring methods and sequencing for structural integrity and safety.
  • •Conduct regular site inspections and structural assessments, including witnessing material testing, pile load tests, concrete works, post-tensioning, and reviewing inspection/test plans and quality records.
  • •Coordinate with resident engineers, highway engineers, contractors, utility teams, and client representatives, and participate in technical progress meetings to resolve engineering challenges.
  • •Monitor progress against schedules and prepare weekly/monthly technical reports; support contract administration by reviewing technical variations, claims, and RFIs while enforcing HSE requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering specializing in Structural or Bridge Engineering.
  • •Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • •Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • •Minimum 15 years of experience in bridge and structural engineering, including at least 8 years on major Roads & Highways infrastructure projects.
  • •Proven experience with construction supervision/consultancy for bridges (flyovers, grade-separated interchanges, viaducts, underpasses, retaining structures) and strong bridge engineering/structural analysis knowledge.
