Job Summary

Assist in setting up and supporting a vacuum atomization furnace for production. Follow verbal and written instructions for repetitive tasks before, during, and after atomization, prepare raw material charges, run the furnace control board, and help with minor repairs and cleaning. Support furnace lid/coil removal and replacement using an electric hoist, prepare crucibles, and perform housekeeping while adhering to CORE and EH&S guidelines, including PPE and respirator use. Work the 4th shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform cleaning, monitoring, and securing operations to assist with set-up of a vacuum atomization furnace.
•Work from verbal and written instructions to execute repetitive tasks before, during, and after the atomization process.
•Assist with preparing raw material charges, running the furnace control board, cleaning the atomization chamber, and making minor repairs on furnace and auxiliary equipment.
•Support removal/replacement of furnace lid and coils, including cleaning the furnace chamber interior and “O” ring seal.
•Adhere to CORE and EH&S guidelines, including wearing required PPE such as a respirator and mask (4th shift: Fri–Sun, 7:00am–7:00pm).
