Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals/bids, and chair bid interviews while recommending outcomes.
  • •Lead estimating services by developing and reviewing project estimates, presenting them to the client, and supporting value engineering and risk assessments.
  • •Manage cost reporting and forecasting by setting reporting schedules, reviewing cost reports, maintaining a commercial risk register, and hosting periodic meetings.
  • •Run the cost control process by reviewing payment applications, liaising with project managers on contractor entitlements, evaluating change orders, and handling contractual disputes using dispute procedures.
  • •Manage invoicing and final accounting activities, including post-contract audits, account close outs, and post-contract reviews to create lesson-learned training materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accreditation or working towards it.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects.
  • •Good knowledge of construction procurement routes plus value management/value engineering, with strong communication skills.
