Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with Staker Parson safety policies for employees and visitors.
  • •Plan, coordinate, and oversee aggregate and asphalt quality control programs, including laboratory and field testing across multiple business units.
  • •Lead, mentor, and coordinate Laboratory Managers to deploy personnel and resources effectively; participate in sub-region management meetings.
  • •Analyze product specifications and test results, coordinate asphalt mix designs/implementation, and provide technical advice and written evaluations.
  • •Investigate and address customer quality complaints, oversee material certification submittals, and act as a liaison with external testing labs and state/local agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Utah with at least 2 years of aggregate and asphalt quality control experience (preferred).
  • •Strong construction, aggregate, and asphalt quality control background, including relevant test standards and the ability to perform/analyze product testing.
  • •Experience coordinating asphalt mix designs and implementing blend changes; familiarity with AASHTO ReSource requirements.
  • •Knowledge of aggregate and asphalt laboratory and field testing (e.g., sampling/testing, gradations, oil contents, volumetrics) and material certification submittals.
  • •Proficiency with tools/software such as PRISM inventory management and Stonemont (QC Money mentioned), plus strong verbal and written communication.
